2013, It all began with 'Gangnamkong' in Seoul

In 2013, we first opened our doors in Seoul under the name 'Gangnamkong'. Without flashy marketing, we became famous solely for our 'addictively spicy flavour', and many people queued up to visit us, making us a beloved restaurant in Seoul. We are not a restaurant that appears and disappears with trends. 13 years of time proves our taste.

Philosophy

We reject artificial spiciness

We do not use capsaicin to make it spicy easily. We believe that only natural spiciness, fermented with premium red pepper powder and fruits, keeps your stomach comfortable and makes you unable to put down your chopsticks. 'The most Korean spiciness'. This is The Zzim's commitment to not compromising on ingredients, even in a foreign country like Vietnam.

We moved away from the busy city centre and settled in front of a quiet park in An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The name changed to The Zzim(더찜), but the people who guard the kitchen and the dedication to taste remain the same. In a comfortable space without parking worries, we will serve you the same taste from Seoul.

We began to be known through major broadcasts such as Y-STAR Siksin Road, KBS2 Ssaengsaeng Information, and SBS Super Junior M Guest House

2015

Find Delicious TV Sisters' Choice

We won 'Galbijjim Special' on MBC Find Delicious TV, and were recognised for our spiciness on MBN Sisters' Choice 'Spicy Battle'

2016

Live Today Evening

We became known to more people when we were introduced on MBC Live Today Evening from our Suwon Ingye-dong branch

2017

Prison Playbook Mr. House Husband Season 2

The 'Bonding Spicy Galbijjim' from tvN drama 'Prison Playbook', and the 'Cheese Galbijjim' from KBS2 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' were introduced, becoming a growth opportunity for the Gangnamkong brand

2020

An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City (Main Store Relocation)

We closed our Korean stores and relocated and opened The Zzim(더찜) main store in An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
